Threadripper still has quad channel memory, more pci-e lanes for more m.2 nvme storage for an editing rig along with more lanes to allow for high end capture cards for video, and on and on and on. Far from irrelevant

Dude, if you are even being slightly serious you are an idiot. You don't get angry because a company is moving the industry forward. What do you want AMD to stay on 8 cores for the mainstream for the next 10 years like Intel did with 4 cores? by AMD moving the industry forwards it means you get a better CPU when you feel like upgrading, whether that be 2 more years down the line or whatever.Because do you think AMD is going to stop the innovation now, and honestly AMD can't just continue to add cores although ~$550 for a 16 core and 12 cores for ~$400 for Zen 3 isn't an unreasonable prospect, but the innovation should be on making the individual core stronger and maybe on being able to break up single threaded tasks in hardware to multiple cores so that a 16 core CPU will actually be useful to most people. There being better CPUs on the market doesn't make what you own any slower or faster.

I love my Ryzen powered computer. I have an Intel I7 8700k machine and another I7 machine, but my Ryzen is the one that I want to use. However, I feel like my Ryzen machine is very buggy, especially after windows updates. Just a bunch of small annoying things are happening that do not happen on my Intel powered PCs.

I like the 65 Watt TDP CPUs that you have listed there. With all of the heat they can create it will be nice to have a powerful computer that can multitask yet at the same time not be a space heater. I also like the idea that the PCIe 4.0 will make an NVME drive faster.

5:31There's nothing "supposed" about it.They are 8 cores.Remember that floating point units and cache are not a part of the definition of core to begin with.Where the cores weak?Yeah, sure. But that doesn't change the whole them being cores in the first place part at all...
