Okay so with everything going on now I don't know if you'll get to read this I am wondering if they will re-enable pcie 4.0 when they launched Zen 2 and the x 570s for Radeon 7?

AMD stepping up the competition against both Intel and Nvidia. I love it. Consumers, no matter what brand they choose, will win.

Seems like the new AMD chip isn't about saving money, but making money. The intel chips still do gaming very well, but the creator/producing power for AMD is fantastic. The indie game scene is about to get even more insane.

5700 vs vega 64 -> 1.5X perf per watt boost. But we can get something like that comparing vega vii vs vega 64. But we still need 5700 vs vega vii 1.5X perf per watt boost. New card will get the same perf per watt as 1070/1080.

You may not like the price of the 3950x but if you look, that's two very high quality chiplets going into one consumer part, the r7 chips are now mid tier so the single 8 core chiplet is going to be lower end silicon. The price hike for the 16 core having two of the highest quality chiplets just makes sense, and it's not that more expensive per core than the 12 core. Reviews will tell in due time

If Ryzen 3000 CPU´s are on par with Intel in gaming, but also surpass Intel and productivity workloads, then there is no reason to buy Intel anymore (at least for the time being). I´m switching to AMD this time around and selling my old Intel CPU.
philliph86 12 June 2019 05:31
When you get the cards to do benchmarking. Can you also try to verify AMD claims from their benchmarks? They did "best case to get best FPS" so if the RTX got high FPS on D11 and AMD got best FPS on D12 that's the results they used. Can you check that on a few of the games?

Wait... guys, did AMD just make a BETTER DLSS upscaling technique? Why aren't the tech press talking about this more, it seems to me from Tech Yes City's videos, that AMD's upscaling looks very good, clear and no blur, while having superb performance.

AMD claims the rx 5700 is 10% faster than the 2060 and costs 10% more. I really don't see the value in this card compared to the already overprice rtx 2060.

Thanny 11 June 2019 21:36
You guys still weren't right about "too good to be true". AMD could have had that leaked pricing and those clock speeds (at a somewhat higher TDP). All the cries of "too good to be true" contributed to the pricing ending up higher. The clock speeds were obviously chosen to make sure all the new chips would fit inside the same TDP as the 2700X, for maximum upgrade compatibility.
